Washington, DC (SportsNetwork.com) - Nick Foligno scored a power-play goal with 18.8 seconds left in overtime as the Columbus Blue Jackets beat the Washington Capitals 3-2 on Thursday to extend their win streak to five games. The Blue Jackets went on the power play with 1:57 to play when Jason Chimera was called for interference. John Carlson fired a shot from the slot that Eric Fehr tipped past Bobrovsky 3:19 into the game. It was the fourth straight game that Washington scored in the first five minutes of the first period. The Capitals at one point held a 13-1 shot advantage, but couldnt build on their lead thanks to Bobrovsky. Foligno beat Holtby on a long wrist shot with 4:24 remaining in the first to tie it 1-1. Both teams were 0-for-2 on the power play in a scoreless second period during which Washington had a 15-4 edge in shots.
